Why is Make-A-Plate® so unique? It is the special process we use to mold these great originals. You draw it on a special heat resistant paper we supply and that original artist drawing is molded directly into the plate. It’s not a reproduction. It’s an all original, one of a kind. Why is this important? It’s important for several reasons but the most important reason is how durable the plate becomes based on our special process. You would have to literally take a knife and dig deep into the layers of melamine before you could cause damage to the artist creation. By molding the original, it also produces the most amazing bright vivid colors that actually represent the artist’s intention.. Artist’s work can live on forever inside kitchen cabinets everywhere and be brought out and used EVERYDAY! The process is also unique in the sense that we have also placed Make-A-Plate® items outside our facility to be exposed to all types of Texas weather and they all look so good!!! Although some fading is expected, we have been amazed how Make-A-Plate® products stand up to the weather elements from our limited testing. All our Make-A-Plates have been FDA tested for being safe to eat off them. We are proud to be home of the one and only original Make-A-Plate®.
