Sandy's StoryMy name is Sandy Arnell and my 6 ½ year old son is now a second generation plate maker. My brother and I made our plates in 1977 (I was 7 years old and he was 5) and we used them almost every night as kids. My husband, son and I recently moved near my parents and my mom began using the plates for our son for his meals. He was very excited to eat from Mommy’s plate or his uncle’s plate but wanted a plate of his own. How thrilled we were when my mom bought a plate making kit for him! He is so excited to get his plates – and maybe one day his kids will eat their dinner off of them at our house.
